who missed me?

seriously, who did? anyone? nobody? awesome. i figured as much, but hey, i'm back now! a busy couple of weeks to close out one year and start up the next, but i'm back to the basics now! chillin, sleeping, interwebbing, video games and all the good stuff.

so yeah, i'd go about catching up w/ all the things that have happened in the world since my last post, but, eh, you know. it's old news by now. something about a new year, vince young doing his best impression of god, west virginia apparently living in the 1800's still, college basketball getting all crazy (except duke still), and the giants proving how they are truly, "so good."

and yes, here i am, weeks w/ no post and i've got nothing to say. i have spent a good part of the day actually writing for real, so that may be helping. i'm also so fucking hungry right now i can't think of much other than that. which is cool, i'm sure even cooler to read still.

so w/ that i get back into my own boring life in an attempt to fill this goddamn thing out a bit. the past few days i've spent getting little to no sleep and working up to 18 hours a day, "on set", down in stamford, ct. yes, back to work indeed. one of the longest, most ball busting experiences i've had so far, yet also one of the best, most professional and most fun as well. it really depended on when you asked me in the day, but this thing seriously ran the whole emotional spectrum. i suppose that'll happen when you pretty much don't sleep for three straight days, w/ close to a three hour round trip drive on top of those 18, 10 and 12 hour days.

all that being said, it was one hell of an experience and time. and the film itself, "tick tock", should be the best thing i've been associated w/ so far. that being said, please do rush out and see "remedial attraction" still, sometime this spring, but the overall level of professionalism from top to bottom in this movie was great to be a part of. everyone in it was great too. ok, thinking back, not so much everyone. but the actors who are in it for more than "one day" in the story as all great. the one's in there for "one day" are all pretty shitty actually, but luckily, one day.

i've also never eaten so many pretzels in my life. and some little fig newton looking things that were so think and dry that i'm not sure how i didn't suffocate or choke to death shooting this thing. a whole lot of water was consumed.

jesus this is uninteresting. so to wrap it up, a great production, w/ some very great connections made (friday involved being filmed by a law and order director), and some high expectations. very exciting. and then some really awesome friends made as well, at least "in the biz friends", who i can't wait to work w/ again. the whole experience actually got my shit flowing again, hence the "real writing" done earlier.

i should also mention that while there are two days of green screen shit to shoot still (which i'm not involved in) there is already a newspaper article on the whole thing. there were a couple of reporters down there this weekend, and today's edition goes to press w/ a "tick tock" story. sadly no one wanted to interview me specifically, so it's not as cool an article as it could be, but still, if you're interested it's out there.

and oh shit, i almost forgot about my boy "lyric", a hip hop artist out of bridgeport. a) he's pretty damn good and b) was quite entertaining to me during the shooting. once crazy dude. i'll throw his myspace page up here, so feel free to check him out. i'll tell you, as much as i like him as a person and an artist, this page just doesn't do him justice. these songs are nowhere near as good as his newer stuff i heard this weekend, and it might be the most unintentionally gay pictures on the internet. super gay. but, if you saw ludacris this summer, and were there early enough for the opening acts, you probably saw lyric perform. pretty cool shit.

so that's it for today. good to be back. hopefully i'll have something of interest to actually comment on next time. which will be soon! later!

stahl
