blogging, in 3D!!

man alive, if i start one more post out w/ some sort of "excuse" about the tardiness of the post, or the lack of a post over the weekend, or shit like that, i'm gonna punch myself in the balls. so, w/ that being said, none of what follows should be taken as an "excuse." it's all "fo' real."

i had an interesting/fun/different weekend this one that just went on by. that tends to happen as we approach the holidays. people who have either taken off to the outer reaches of these united states, or just generally "work" too damn much, are all around and available for chillin. w/ thanksgiving now days away, this was no exception. so a trip to the mall, some dinner and chillin earlier this weekend, and some late night chillin/gaying it up last night has me all full of...things. i'm not sure what, but i am filled up w/ it. tonight might be more of the same, but if not (and even if it is, just later on tape)...

medium in 3d! woo! now who knows if that'll actually pay off, but i am psyched to see exactly what they're planning and how it'll come off. medium was one of the best new dramas to hit the air last season, (along w/ numb3rs, and ah, what do you call it? ah...oh yeah, LOST) and this season it's just been continuing to get better. i've been pretty impressed to date, as it really, somehow, hasn't just been more of the same. and tonight should be an interestingly cool take on the show. that being said, if you've yet to, hurry the fuck out and grab a copy of this weeks tv guide to get yourself a pair of the 3d spectacles you'll be needing to properly view tonight's episode.

and while you're watching tv tonight, be sure to check out what might be the most craziest episode of prison break to date. this show is really something else. it's like a big hollywood summer blockbuster. but a good one. not just some shit slapped together that explodes, but something that explodes w/ characters/actors full o' charisma and charm. that's really what sustains this show, the actors, namely wentworth miller, and "sucre" (whatever his real name is). hell, pretty much all of the guys in jail keep this show afloat. it's only when they step out of the prison walls that the show comes to an abrupt and screeching halt. i could not only not care less if they killed everyone outside of jail, i actually find myself hoping every week that EVERYONE gets killed.

the show is wild and out of fucking control, never even trying to make sense. but when you're following along w/ the intensity in the prison, w/ the clock ticking over their heads every week as they get closer to breaking out, you just do not give a fuck that theres a five foot hole in some room that's seriously covered by a rug w/ a table over it. seriously. it doesn't matter! it's crazy! but as soon as you step foot outside and follow the horribly awful acting of michael's shitty son, and nick "creepy ass" severn, i just can't see it end soon enough. i hate them all. but because of my love for the inmates, tonight should be horrible, as someone should be dying. i hope, HOPE, it's the black dude, as his character has offered dick so far, and seems like he should be in the outside group he's so worthless to watch. because that would be best for the show, it'll probably be someone who sucks much less. although, this show does tend to give you what you want, and doesn't really fuck shit up just to be dramatic and keep you on your toes (24 style, which is no knock on 24). i'm just not so sure this show has the balls to kill of a main, liked character. let's hope it doesn't.

p.s. does it annoy anyone else that as much as the outside group sucks, they're also completely unnecessary to the story now? at this point the break is happening. fuck, the show is called "prison break." at first i understand pretending people care about trying to save michael, not knowing they'll actually break out. but it's not an inevitability. clearing michael doesn't mean a goddamn thing. the show seems to have noticed that as well, but instead of limiting their roles, they've decided that now, it's "bigger than michael", and are for some shitty reason after the vice president now. and let me tell you, that bitch, the actor not the character, is the worst of the bunch. she could not be more awful to watch. she's such an annoying twat, who most assuredly did not get the jelly.

hey, guess, what? tomorrow is the 360 launch! enjoy not having one, i know i will! to those who do manage to get their hands on one, let me know how it feels, to hold, to kiss...to love. tell me what games you got, how awesome or not awesome they are, and how awesome the system itself is. also let me know what you're playing it on, screen wise. i'd like to hear how it looks on different setups.

so i "got" "the movies" the other day for the ol' pc. yesterday in fact. that might have been a mistake. i mean, i have little to do in the first place, but i got even less done yesterday that i normally would. i think, all told, i spent about 13 hours playing yesterday. i went from the 1920 starting year to...oh, i don't know, i think i'm around 1960, 1965 maybe. i played until 10 am today. from about 2:30 am. it is awesome. that's the quick review. awesome. it's like the sims, but w/o all the usual shit that involves that i'm generally tired of. the graphics are more than decent for what the game is, and on top of that the game runs very well on a variety of systems. my system is no overwhelming powerhouse by any means, (3200 athlon xp, 512 mb ram, geforce 5600 xt) but has no problems running it. and running it very "high", or as high as this game allows.

beware before you start playing this that, if you do like it, and i'm sure you will, not only will you spend a huge amount of time w/ it, but you won't even notice that happening. all of a sudden it's four hours later. then 7. then it's fucking 10 am. try it out over a weekend, or whenever if you're like me and have nothing to do at all ever. i'm warning ahead of time though, that this game will take you over. at least to a certain point. where i'm at now, i'm not losing my interest, but i could see it happening. there's just too much goddamn stuff to take care of now, namely too many stars and buildings/sets. there's also a noticable lack of the "little people" coming into my studio these days, which is making it increasingly harder to keep my stars happy, when i can't bring in people to be a part of their entourage. hell, i had to convert my shittiest writer into an assistant for one director. also, my payroll seems to be climbing out of control, production is taking multiple times larger than it used to, and my stars have become whiney bitches. but, like i said, i could see myself losing interest. it hasn't happened yet. in fact, i'm fighting the urge to just save this post and jump back in, only to return 10 hours later. so the movies, highly recommended to anyone and everyone. you might want to "try before you buy" if you get a chance, a friend who has it or something, but i would assume that you would not be disappointed. and none of this mentions the part where you can actually make your own movies w/in the game. if that interests you then there's just no reason you shouldn't already have the game.

in case you haven't noticed, the maui invitational is underway. underway and rocking. be sure to stay up nice and late for uconn!

ok, i'm gonna go grab some dinner now, then i gotta run out to grab a tv guide and some 3d glasses, and maybe check out every store in the area to see just what their plans will be for tomorrows launch. either that or just play the movies til tomorrow. we'll see what happens. i'm off! later!
